Here's an email from Joe Ray about the Reunion:
Hi Bobby-
First of all, congratulations and thank you very much for your terrific
efforts that were put into the reunion. Very well done. I had a blast and
it was nice to finally meet you (although briefly) at the alumni tea on
Friday. I wanted to catch up with you on Saturday at the picnic but too
much going on (in a good way).
Here’s a brief recap I sent to some people about the adventures on
Saturday and Sunday:
The weekend...I went to a high school reunion in Parker for all decades.
What a great time! In the midst of all the partying, we almost sank a
rented pontoon boat, lost a couple hours of water time waiting for the
service guys to come and plug the pontoons which had taken on massive
water, I smacked my knee really hard jumping from 1 boat to another (hurts
still today with it’s swelling and bruised appearance), then we ruined the
propeller on some rocks as we neared the dam and had to be towed back
about 12 miles as we enjoyed the beautiful sunset (9 of us on the boat),
wasn’t able to find my keys yesterday after checkout (and partying till
4:40 AM) then realizing that not only my keys were missing but my truck
had been stolen from the parking lot. Seems I lost my keys somewhere on
the premises, someone found them and took the truck for a ride.
Fortunately, the tribal police found it about 2 miles away. No damage but
still no keys. Too much to handle for 11AM yesterday. Jose Sanchez drove
me to my house from Parker to get my keys (locksmith couldn’t do it
because of the chip embedded in the key) then drive back. When we walked
into my house, the police called and someone jogging near the area had
found my keys and turned them in to an officer. All’s well that ends well.
Other than the stolen truck incident, it was a fabulous weekend.
Once more, thanks for all your hard work on this.
